IP Network Engineer

The IP Network Engineer supports the growing infrastructure. This position will provide hands on operational control and maintenance of key IP network elements with Packet Core, Routers, and Corporate Data networks for fiber to the home provider.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provides 3rdlevel technical support within a multi-vendor environment
• Works with a team on an out-of-hours on-call support
• Troubleshoots logged faults and isolate the cause to minimize impact
• Supports the implementation of new equipment along with the maintenance of existing systems
• Develop and refine best practices
• Performs other duties as assigned

Who You Are:

• Understanding of IP networks and TCP/IP technologies (DNS, SNMP, etc. )
• Extensive knowledge of routing protocols (OSPFF, BGP) and data transport techniques
• Ability to provide in-depth analysis of network traffic
• Hand on knowledge of Fortinet, Juniper, Adtran, or Cisco products
• Good understanding of the operational support systems such as IPAM
• Knowledge of end user home networking devices

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years experience with at least five years of hands-on experience in production telecom carrier environment
• Certifications in Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet preferred with commensurate training and education

Pay: $63,363.27 – $138,345.64 per year
