Tuesday: 9:00AM-7:00PM
Friday: 9:00AM-5:30PM
To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.

In This Role, You Will …
Work with a high-performing team to maintain and support robust networks for Mariner’s corporate, extranet, and backbone network infrastructure. You will provide numerous opportunities to play an important role in special projects, marketing initiatives, and the daily operation data analysis reporting to Mariner Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Provides third-level technical support to clients and to technical teams within Mariner Finance to resolve network issues and to support the implementation of new network solutions.
- Evaluates new technology and brings opportunities forward that would improve the future network architecture, performance, and network services.
- Ensures full compliance of Mariner’s Key Controls and Technical Service Requirements for all network architecture, designs, and implementations both past and present.
- Ensures all changes go through appropriate review, change control, and acceptance before implementation.
- Assists with the development, testing, and QA functions to ensure that projects are securely delivered and fulfill expectations.
- Proactively monitors the environment to ensure network optimization using tools such as Solarwinds, Wireshark, and Meraki Cloud portal tools.
- Provides highest level of technical consultancy to ensure problem resolution is achieved in the shortest possible timeframe.
- Works with the Information Security team to ensure solutions deployed meet Mariner’s security requirements and provides technical assistance for investigation and analysis of security alerts.
- Develops processes and procedures for use by the Network team and third parties in the management of network environments.
- Develops solutions and builds plans to effectively gain buy-in from all participants.
- Develops and streamlines processes to further improve delivery of Network and Telecommunication services. Provides recommendations to management team to increase effectiveness of organization and technology solutions.
- May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.
Required Qualifications:
- At least two (2) years related experience in infrastructure/network environments and designing, planning, documenting, and implementing LANs and WANs using latest technology.
- Expertise on IP Technologies.
- Experience with network hardware, specifically Cisco wireless technology, Meraki routers and switches, and campus technology such as Cisco InstantAccess.
- Expertise with IP routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
- Advanced understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols.
- Experience in high-availability networks in load-balanced, n-tier application environments.
- Able to clearly and correctly express complex technical concepts in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to occasionally adjust work schedule to meet business needs (standard is forty (40) hour week with occasional after-hours and weekend requirements).
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with both local and remote staff, teammates, and managers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of WAN technologies such as MPLS, ATM, and Frame Relay.
- Knowledge of Cisco encryption technologies (IPSec, SSL) and hot standby protocols HSRP and VRRP.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
