NOC Analyst (6pm-6am Shift) – REMOTE

Position: NOC Analyst

Location: Remote

Working hours: This position is night shift (6pm-6am EST) on a rotating weekly schedule.

Position/Role Description:

Analyst role focused on network security operations for Juniper firewalls. The position is in EST time zone and remote. Could potentially consider other US time zones.

Skills/Qualifications:

This position is working in a 24×7 operation center providing managed services in device management. Key component is a Juniper HA pair across the customers manufacturing facilities.

• Knowledge of Juniper JUNOS (Palo Alto or Fortinet CLI experience is secondary)

• Ability to understand relationship of physical interfaces to security zones

• Understanding of how security policies match traffic and troubleshoot when traffic is incorrectly denied

• Ability to perform CLI changes for firewall security policies, address and service objects

• Familiarity with a firewall central management tool such as Panorama or Space, this environment uses Juniper Space

• Full capability to use SSH and WinSCP

• Investigate/troubleshoot incidents with firewall logs. Both direct CLI and Elastic system

• Familiarity with SRX platform from Juniper, specifically mid-level line (4×00 series) and modular line (5×00 series)

Successful Traits:

• Detail orientated – We have very specific guidelines on working customer task and incident tickets with ticket quality being tracked to ensure customer success.

• Group Collaboration – The team works heavily in Teams, both chat and audio to foster a strong group working collaboratively as well as get peer reviews on changes

• Multi-tasking – All analyst have to work both independently on task and incidents, but also monitor the collaborative chat and incoming alerts/requests.

• Communication Skills – Comfortable running a troubleshooting call with both customer resources and vendor as needed, articulate to next shift at turnover and report to leadership for escalations

• Must have full English language skills

• Shift: 6pm to 6am with alternating 3 days shifts and alternating weekends
