Tasks and Responsibilities:
The role requires liaising effectively across all the teams in the Service Provision domain and with other GSOp teams, promoting the related information transfer and gathering necessary information and data for the effective achievement of the tasks below described and following the indications of the functional team leader and the Service Provision Manager.
Processes and activities to be managed and overseen are primarily, but not limited to, the following:
- Contributing to the definition of new Processes and the execution of System Level Operational Procedures (SLOPs) development activities, focusing to the Satellite asset aspects and in accordance to the Galileo Service evolution
- Contributing to the preparation and delivery of the documentation for the periodical meetings with EUSPA (e.g.: MPM, QSPR, SER) for all the aspects related to the Galileo Satellite asset
- Proactive monitoring of the service performance focusing on Galileo Satellite events and related KPI aspects
- Proactively supporting the achievement of the activities (e.g.: memo preparation, support meetings organization, internal report drafting) necessary for the events related to Satellite issues and incidents, liaising with the SDM team
- Continuous screening and reviewing the satellite observation and anomaly reports, or providing satellite expertise on more general service delivery observation/anomaly reports
- Supporting FOC, and IOV regular and ad-hoc/emergency incident/anomaly boards.
- Supporting NRB meetings, in particular the Satellite service related NCR discussion
- Follow-up of SSEG L2/L3 maintenance (IOV+FOC) support investigations and reporting
- Follow-up implementation work and reporting of new ASW versions (IOV+FOC)
Required Qualification and Experience:
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Electronics), appropriate high school degree and relevant work experience.
- Experience in the Galileo program, and especially knowledge of the Galileo-specific processes and procedures for service provision
- In-depth knowledge and experience of methodologies involved in the service level management (KPI, metrics, calculation of liquidated damages)
- In-depth knowledge and experience of methodologies involved in system and service monitoring
The job requires also:
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Fluency in Italian and/or German is appreciated
- Strong attitude to team work, even in demanding situations
- Hands-on mentality and systematic, self-organized, able to prioritize way of working
- Fluency in standard office automation tools (MS Office, Email, Internet, etc.)
Work location:
It could be necessary to spend time periodically at the GCC-D (Oberpfaffenhofen, Munich, Germany) and/or at the GCC-I (Fucino, Italy). It could be necessary to participate to meetings in the above locations and in other relevant project locations in Europe.
